FAQs

Performance Water Jet

  • What is the cost of your services?

The pricing for water jet machined parts is dependent on several variables. These include the type of material, its thickness, and the quantity of pieces required. The total length of the cut, the handling involved, and any special processes required for precise water cutting also play a significant role in determining the final job cost.
  • What is your lead time?

Depending on the job size, material, and thickness, lead times for precise water cutting can vary. Most projects are completed within 3-5 days of receiving the material and the appropriate files or drawings required to finish the work.
  • How thick can you cut?

The thickness of the material we can handle depends largely on the specific type of substrate being used. For those requiring precise water cutting, we are capable of processing a wide range of thicknesses. Please inquire with us directly to discuss the specific dimensions and tolerances required for your project.
  • What type of files do you need to generate a quote/tooling path?

We can create tool paths from Drawing Exchange Files (DXF) to ensure precise water cutting for every project. Additionally, we can generate these paths from standard drawings and physical templates for a nominal additional fee.
  • What materials can you cut?

The water jet can handle a wide range of substrates, including glass, plastics, stone, and metals. Every material is processed with precise water cutting to ensure high-quality edges and accurate dimensions. If you have a specific material in mind, ask our team to determine if it is suitable for water jet machining.
